BBA Book Club (Munich) - August

Do you like to read and want a group to discuss books with? You've found the right place!  

Let's share our common love for reading under our BBA community. Every month we choose a book to read in our Whatsapp community and meet (usually in person) to discuss our thoughts, impressions, and interpretations of the chosen book. Whether it's about the overall story, characters, plot development, themes, and the author's writing style, the discussion is open to anything and everything.

Note: After a 3-month trial period of BBA Book Club in Munich, we will now begin charging a small fee that will go toward our resources and volunteers. Thank you for understanding and supporting the community!

⏰ Sunday, August 25th from roughly 15:00-17:00

📍 Meeting point: Botanista Cafe Club, Pestalozzistraße 20, 80469 München, Germany

📚We're currently reading 10 Minutes 38 Seconds in This Strange World by Elif Shafak.  How to prepare: Just finish the book (or don't finish it if you hate it, also a valid discussion point) beforehand and be ready to discuss.  

🎟️ Ticket includes hosting/organizational fee. Thank you for supporting what we do at BBA!

➕ OPTIONAL: Bring a book you're willing to give away or swap with another BBA. Make sure to give your contact info to whoever takes it so you can get it back. 

❌ As always, space is limited so please only get a ticket if you're certain you can attend. Please be aware of the refund policy below if you end up needing to cancel.

BBA was originally designed as a community for women. However we recognize that individuals who do not identify as women may also face similar challenges. Therefore we are actively striving to create inclusive environments that are friendly to individuals who identify as FLINTA (acronym for women, lesbians, inter, non-binary, trans, and agender people). If you're seeking a space where you can collaborate and connect with like-minded individuals we welcome you to join us.

WHY IS THERE A TICKET FEE?

Running a community of the size of BBA with events multiple times per month comes with significant costs and time resources, charging for our events helps us to cover these costs + reward our staff/volunteers so that we can continue running BBA for years to come.

Please note that BBA (and possibly our event partners) may take photos and videos of this event for promotional purposes (e.g. on LinkedIn Instagram Facebook). It is in our legitimate interest to make memories of our events more vivid through recordings and use them for future marketing purposes. The legal basis for processing is therefore Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. of GDPR. If you want to object to the processing you can simply send an email to businessbabesabroad@gmail.com

REFUND POLICY 

We do not issue refunds unless we have to cancel the meet-up. If you can no longer attend, feel free to offer your spot/ticket in one of our Whatsapp groups to another community member. However, if you drop out less than 24hrs prior to the event, we can't guarantee that someone from the group will be available to take over the spot and transfer you the money due to late notice. Do keep this in mind when registering, and only register if you are 100% sure that you are available to attend.
